Senior Product Development Manager

As Senior Product Development Manager, you will own the full product development lifecycle from concept through to launch. You will report directly to the CEO, defining the product strategy and innovation pipeline, working closely with manufacturers and cross-functional internal teams to bring scientifically substantiated, commercially successful skincare products to market. This role requires a balance of scientific expertise, strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

• Lead the end-to-end product development process from initial concept to commercial launch
• Define product strategy and manage the innovation pipeline in line with brand and business objectives
• Partner with manufacturers to develop high-performance, science-led skincare formulations
• Translate technical, clinical and formulation data into clear consumer-facing benefits, claims and product stories
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Regulatory, Quality, Supply Chain, Packaging and Marketing teams
• Oversee product testing programmes, including efficacy, clinical and consumer trials
• Support go-to-market execution, ensuring strong product positioning, claims hierarchy and launch readiness
• Manage relationships with external partners such as laboratories, ingredient suppliers and manufacturers
• Work closely with internal teams including Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain and Finance to ensure alignment

• Extensive experience in skincare product development within premium or luxury brands
• Proven track record of launching high-efficacy, premium-priced skincare products
• Strong scientific background in cosmetic science, chemistry, biology or a related field, or experience within clinically positioned brands
• In-depth understanding of skincare formulation, active ingredients and claims substantiation
• Strong scientific literacy combined with a commercial and brand-focused mindset
• Strategic yet hands-on approach to product development and execution
• Exceptional sensorial sensitivity with the ability to develop refined textures and premium formulations
• Deep understanding of luxury skincare standards, including texture, feel, absorption and overall product experience
• Strong project management skills with experience in structured planning and delivery
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
